Texpad has actually become my favourite LaTeX editor on the Mac and the iPad version is very similar and equally good. I highly recommend Texpad, although I haven’t tried TexAble. There's plenty more, too, with tools to transpose characters or words append select lines adjust text case, and sort, indent and realign text. Those small things make it really nice for me and everything just feels so smooth and effortless.
